Dehydrated Apples in my Ninja Air Fryer

Ok, so my wife and I decided to jump on the air fryer craze. We’ve been wanting one for some time now, but just never purchased one. We decided to purchase a Ninja air fryer (not the max XL) last week. Today, I tested the dehydration method with an apple that I sliced. I then coated the apples with a little coconut spray. I sliced the apples thin, but not too thin and let them dehydrate for the recommended 6 hours. I turned them a little over two hours and once again around four hours.

After six hours they were almost perfect. I only say almost because I expected them to be crispy. I could have added more time, however when I tasted them I kind of liked the chewy texture they had. They were close to crispy, but not quite. Later, I may try seven hours, but six hours is good enough. They make a great healthy snack, free of any added preservatives. Trust me, the Ninja is the way to go.
